The admission process at Le Eskolar starts with an assessment of your child’s readiness to the level that s/he is being enrolled in. Adhering to the age requirements of the KHDA, kindly be advised that your child should be 4 years old or 5 years old by August 31 of the school year being applied for to qualify for our KG 1 and KG 2 programs respectively.

The admissions assessments cover your child’s ability to answer questions about him/herself and identify colors, shapes, numbers, and common objects around him/her. It also has a strong focus on your child’s capacity to stay on task and respond to questions and instructions properly with little to no signs of anxiety in a new environment with an unfamiliar adult. We also take a look at your child’s capacity to sound out letters of the alphabet, draw a simple picture, and write his/her name.

Overall, we examine your child’s confidence in undertaking tasks and instructions given by the teacher along with his/her behaviour during the assessment.

Regardless of the results, the parents will be receiving an email a day or two after the assessment, informing them of their child’s admission to Le Eskolar.

After this, necessary documents should be submitted and payments should be settled to enroll or secure a slot for your child for the school year. (Refer to the admission guidelines for further details about the fees and documents required upon registration).
